“My uncle Niels gave me two beautiful Japanese woodblock prints for my confirmation. Since then I have been fascinated by Japanese art, and when Japanese fashion designers came to the West, my interest in Japanese culture and history was awakened in this fascinating country.
In 2001, I met my husband Nels, who was working and living in Tokyo at the time. This led to 15 years of commuting between Japan and Denmark and many fantastic experiences.
When knitting, I am always inspired by things around me, both in everyday life and when traveling. Therefore, living in Japan for a long time was a great source of inspiration for me. This book tells the story of my life in Japan and some of the inspiration I got from my travels.”
